It’s hot. Like drenched in sweat the moment you step outside hot. Like you want to sit in front of an air conditioner in your underwear all day long hot. Like sticky icky hot. Like the only thing I want to eat is ice cream hot.
Yes, okay. I’m done. You get it. It’s hot.
But this is my first summer in New York and I’ve been dreading it since I moved here. I totally loved New York in the spring, but summer is a different animal. There’s a blanket of heat that hangs over the buildings, seeps into your apartment and hits you like a ton of bricks when you walk out your front door.
It’s not miserable, but ugh…I’m hot.
